Melissa was founded in 1971 in Brazil. In 2004 Melissa footwear sealed a partnership with design duo Campana Brothers who added distinguished artistic design, mixed with rustic, artisan materials. For over 30 years, the company has provided exciting ladies and men’s designer footwear, earning them much deserved respect in the fashion business – especially as they have manufactured 50 million shoes in the last 25 years. Melissa shoes are made out of plastic; she has transformed plastic into ‘objects of desire’ and is most famous for their mouth-watering, mesmerizing candy smell. Melissa shoes are best known for their collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, they have also created some brilliant results from partnerships with Jean Paul Gaultier, J Maskrey and design duo Campana Brothers.
